S. Anand, M.A., Program Manager

Mr.S. Anand, Our Program Manager has 18 plus years experience in Community Development associated with Civil Society Organizations from grass root level to state, national and International organizations and bilateral funding organizations in varied roles from project coordination, managing programs with strengths in strategic and analytical thinking, team management, coordination and leadership.

He has strong skills in context analysis, risk and needs assessment, monitoring and evaluation, accountability, partnership development and humanitarian coordination.

He can also offer his expertise to support Development & Humanitarian response coordination and leadership, conduct evaluations and assessments, develop or review programme strategies, carry out studies on needs and response and design proposals for programs focusing Livelihoods, Rights based interventions, Inclusive and Knowledge management and other thematic areas. 

  • 3 years in project team implementing women development projects for a grass root level civil society organization.
  • 2 years as a team leader in community micro insurance and micro credit unit for a national level Micro Finance Institution.
  • 4 plus years As s team leader and project head in Emergency Humanitarian responses to Natural calamities in India with ACTED India, Oxfam (GB) and CARE India
  • More than 4 years in program development and monitoring roles in Child Development Project for an International development organization in Tamil Nadu working with children in Srilankan Refugee camps.
  • As a Programme Manager, managing the program and monitoring head for nearly 5 years and now in Program management role for a state level coordinating organization.

P. Chellapandi, M.A, M. Phil., Program Officer

Mr.PANDI. CHELLAPANDI, Our Program Officer has 14 plus years experience in Various Community Development and Right Based Approach associated with different Civil Society Organizations from grass root level to District, zonal, Regional, state, and national organizations in various roles from Project managing, Zonal and Regional coordination, State coordination for managing programs and projects.

He has completed education on UG in B.Sc., Rural Development Science, and Masters in Sociology and Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, M.Phil in Women’s Studies.

He has completed Technical courses on SPSS and Excel at Joseph Institute of Management-JIM, Trichy, Tamilnadu and Research courses of Women’s studies at  Bharathidasan University, Trichy.

Area of Expertise:

  • As a Facilitator: someone who helps a person or organization do something more easily or find the answer to a problem, by discussing things and suggesting ways of doing things.
  • As a Resource person: Are experts who contribute information and opinions to participants in a learning situation. They frequently are used to conduct educational activities, but may also be helpful to a committee at the program planning stage on, Child Rights, Human Rights, Gender, Livelihood, Skill and capacity enhancement for youth, Folk art and Street theatre.
  • As a Consultant: He works in an advisory capacity and accountable for the outcome of a consulting exercise in management thinking and improvements in the performance of organizations.

  • 4 years experience as a Project Manager of ”TAI Project” at IMAYAM SOCIAL SERVICE SOCIETY-ISWA in Coimbatore.
  • 1 years experience as a Zonal officer of “Child Education Project” at AID INDIA in Coimbatore.
  • 1 years experience as a state Monitoring team leader of “TSC –NGP award program in TN” at DCI, Delhi.
  • 4 years experience as a Regional Coordinator of “Human Right Education Program” at IHRE-People’s Watch, Madurai.
  • Now as a Programme Officer of TASOSS for “Monitoring and Facilitating” the various program at the respective partner organization in last 4 years.
  • Facilitating and coordinating the “Children Parliament Program” from the grass root level to Union, District, State and National.

A. Anie Rose, MS.W., Program Officer

Mrs. R. Anierose joining TASOSS team from April 2015 at the capacity of Program Officer. She completed Economics as her UG specializing in Rural Management and Master of Arts in Human Rights and Public Administration. She has also completed my SLET in Public Administration.

My Professional Background

She joined as state AICUF Full-time worker and trained the college students in leadership, personality development programs. she also trained in media analysis, street theatre, folk dances and social analysis. She has experience in Rights-Based Approaches working for Dalit, Women, Trible and Transgender community in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu in various capacities with organizations such as New Entity for Social Action (NESA), Human Rights Advocacy and Research Foundation (HRF) and Social Action for Society of Youths (SASY). She was involved in a major research on Social Exclusion and Human Rights Violations in Panchayat Raj Institution

She worked in Women Entrepreneurs Association of Tamilnadu (WEAT) as an Administrative Officer. I organized meetings to women entrepreneurs to face challenges in the economy.

S. Flora, M.Com., B.Ed., B.L.I.S, Documentation Assistant

Ms.S. Flora our Documentationist has completed M.Com., B.Ed and BLIS, having 27 years experience at TASOSS and she has the following skills:

  • Typewriting
  • DTP
  • shorthand
  • Computer operation
  • Ability to write poems (Kavithai) in Tamil

She is responsible for maintenance of office documents both hard and soft copy of the reports and photos.  She is also responsible for storage, cataloguing and retrieval of documents. She maintains the integrity of working documents and updates documentation when revised. She maintains document storage and retrieval and she is also responsible for document security, for assigning access, and for removing and destroying obsolete documents.

Dr.R.Gayathri, Retainer Consultant cum Research Officer

She has completed her Doctorate in Women’s Studies on a Study on issues of adolescent girls in camp Labour Scheme in Textile Sector in Department of Women’s Studies, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli on Jan 2015. Currently engaged in the research project entitled on ‘Participatory Action Research on social protection of internal migrants of unorganized sector in selected districts of Tamil Nadu’ supported by Caritas India and CRS from Oct 2016 to Sep 2018.

Being a development consultant she served as the following

  • External facilitator for Rights Based Approach (RBA) in Regional Resource Support Organization (RRSO) in the Project of New Thrust Programme – Phase IV (2009-2011) supported by Misereor, Germany
  • One of an External Evaluator for New Thrust Programme – Phase IV (2009-2011), Evaluation Number 1666-Z 1450-0734 on behalf of Bischofliches Hilfswerk Misereor e.V. and Tamil Nadu Social Service Society (TASOSS) from Feb to Apr 2011
  • Retainer Consultant for Misereor Project – Phase V entitled ‘Promotion of self-reliant and self-sustaining people’s federation for social transformation’ facilitating Tamil Nadu Women Federation members into the larger processes of asserting inclusive, fair, just and sustainable development as a right of the people from Feb 2013 to Mar 2015
    • Contributed as Tamil Nadu Joint Committee member in Wada Na Todo Abhiyan – Post MDG 2015 Development Agenda –Tamil Nadu Joint Committee drafted the Charter on Tamil Nadu People’s Charter for Humanity In the background of Post Millennium Development Goals 2015 -Development Agenda in 2013
    • Contributed as a researcher in the study on Alcoholism : its impact in the families of Tamil Nadu and Puducheery by Tamil Nadu Social Service Society and Tamil Nadu Women Federation and published it in 2015
  • Retainer Consultant for Misereor Project – Phase VI entitled ‘Promotion of self-reliant and self-sustaining people’s federation for social transformation’ facilitating the team towards actualizing the outcome and effects on organizational development, promotion of sustainable livelihood interventions, campaign, advocacy and lobbying interventions.

 

Besides, she has been contributing to the organizations/Institutions to develop gender policy of their own, perspective plan, proposals with gender sensitivity, concept notes on specific themes, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for Campaign, Advocacy and lobbying interventions. Also, she has been serving as Resource Person for gender sensitization, leadership & capacity building training’s on Animation & Movement Building, Women & Legal Rights, Gender Studies, Rights Based Approach [RBA], Life Skills Management, Participatory Research Appraisal [PRA] & Qualitative Research Methods. She aspires to do research on the issues of the marginalized & women, in particular, identifying the gaps & recommending policy change which would be lobbied through the People’s organizations & networks working for policy change on mainstreaming gender.

J. Mary Nirmala, Retainer Consultant

Who has 12 plus years of development sector experience at different capacities from Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation and managing programs at different levels. Her areas of expertise mainly focusing on gender sensitivity and inclusive approach. She has ample experience in evaluating projects focusing on building sustainable people’s organization and represented the evaluation team which was evaluating humanitarian interventions and to be specific Tsunami rehabilitation programs across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
